A lot has changed since the day It Djents was created on the premise of uniting all bands under the progressive metal/djent moniker and spreading the word about new, upcoming artists; both for us as fans of music and for the scene itself. The ‘Djent’ movement has branched out into different new directions, and we, through our continuous work on the website, have opened up It Djents to all kinds of music.

Our music promotion’s main focus has always been to not only showcase bands within the boundaries of progressive and experimental rock/metal, but to create an active community to support underground artists, no matter the genre. For us, ‘it djents’ has long become a phrase which applies to so much more music than its original meaning; from jazz to black metal and from folk to tech-death, anything can ‘djent’. It is the progressive spirit that captivates us more so than any genre constraints.

Remember: we are here to bridge the gap between fans, friends, and amazing musicians. That won’t change, and neither will our support for the progressive music scene. We just want to give you, our dear readers, a broader perspective on music with all its styles and subtleties, and to facilitate your discovery of all the awesome bands/artists out there.
