Tesseract have been sweeping across the world touring the tits off of their 2015 album Polaris, with their final date at the alt-rock / tech-metal festival ArcTangent. They played a storming set as the sun went down, with the whole experience a wonder to behold. Songs from all 3 albums were played with charisma and that trademark Tesseract tightness, helped along with the monstrous soundsystem at the festival.
It Djents caught up with James Monteith before their slot at the show to discuss new album plans, how the tour has been, and the latest gear they are using. Taking to the stage before Sikth and Explosions In The Sky, this was certainly one of the biggest shows of their career, with the stage absolutely packed for them. Tesseract tore through their new epic new single “Smile” before hitting the classics from Polaris, Altered State and One. Dan seems to have been working on his live performance since we last caught them, with him nailing the first 3 tracks from Altered State.
I’m certainly looking forwards to their new material and seeing them live again when they come back from the studio – check out the podcast below to find out more! You can keep up to date with all the latest from Tesseract on their Facebook!
