It Djents TV: The Emblem Faction – “Stampede”

Fans of progressive metal out in the Midwest have some great local music be excited for. Hailing from Des Moines, Iowa, The Emblem Faction is a an aggressive five-piece that takes inspiration from the likes of Veil of Maya, Intervals, ERRA, After The Burial, and Monuments. They recently released their first EP, entitled Timescapes, carrying with it a handful of groove-laden anger-fueled music. Today we bring you “Stampede”, the lead track off their aforementioned EP – exclusively through ItDjentsTV.

Clocking in at just over two and a half minutes, the track wastes no time in getting into the thick of it. A powerful rhythm and crushing vocals greet the listener, rarely letting up over the courses of it’s short runtime. The vocals are harsh yet powerful; the drum patterns varied and consistent. You won’t find any clean vocals here, nor any melodic guitar work, but there is a lot here to like if you prefer gritty and uncompromising metal. If you need a good kick-start to your day, or just want something heavy to bang your head to, then The Emblem Faction have you covered!

You can learn more about The Emblem Faction through their Facebook, and check out the full EP on their Bandcamp.
