EXCLUSIVE PREMIERE: The Luminary – “Flow State”

Today at It Djents, we are pleased to present another premiere from our friends in The Luminary. The Ontario-based quintet released their second EP Flow State on July 15th last year, which was a welcomed offering of progressive metalcore/djent. If you haven’t listened to Flow State yet, you can stream it here on It Djents TV.

Without further ado, here is the second music video off the EP, this time for the title track “Flow State”, directed by Josh Ford. Enjoy!

“Flow State” is a well-balanced blend of djenty grooves and bright melodies that fans of Erra and Northlane will definitely love. The sustained synthesizer notes and guitar tapping that play through a large portion of the track succeed in creating a comfortable, space-y atmosphere that is easy to settle in to. Shouter Alex Telfer plays an important role in the band’s sound as well as clean singer/bassist Josh: be it the growled verses or catchy clean-sung choruses, the vocals definitely make “Flow State” a single-worthy track. It’s catchy as hell!
