Exocrine have announced an August 17 release date for their third album, entitled Molten Giant. The techdeath band from Bordeaux, France further stated that they are now signed to Unique Leader Records.
The band commented on their Facebook page about the album:
‘Molten Giant is a huge step forward for Exocrine. We worked extremely hard and pushed our skills and virtuosity to their absolute limit in order to write this insanely fast and technical new album. The album’s sound is a reflection of the artwork: gigantic and monstrous! We recorded drums for Molten Giant with at Bud Studio with Mathieu Pascal (Gorod), tracked the rest at Sylvain’s Triceraprod Studio, and had HK Krauss at Vamacara Studio mix and master the album. We couldn’t be happier with the way everything turned out and cannot wait for everyone to hear this!‘
The foregoing is a promising statement, if bold. Exocrine‘s 2017 Ascension album was a techdeath masterpiece which sadly did not make the It Djents Album of the Year list.
Exocrine released Molten Giant‘s track listing:
1. Scorched Human Society
4. Molten Giant
7. Behind The Wall
8. The Shape of New World
Unique Leader stated Molten Giant pays homage to Japanese giant monster movies (Kaiju) as a concept album about a giant lava monster at war with humanity.
Exocrine further commented on their new home at Unique Leader:
‘It is with a great pleasure that we join the ranks of such a legendary label as Unique Leader Records. Most of the bands that we love are part of their roster and we’ll give the maximum of ourselves to represent our new home as best as we can. We can’t wait to release our upcoming new album to share it with you all!‘
Exocrine recently gained international recognition in touring Japan in support of Obscura and Archspire. Their management chose well, as the French band has a similar approach to their respective German and Canadian former tour mates.
Watch this space for more news about Exocrine. The probability of It Djents not reviewing Molten Giant is fairly close to zero.
