Yeah, you absolutely read that headline right! 21 new acts were announced for ArcTanGent 2018 today, and boy oh boy are there some incredible names you don’t want to miss out on among those! In addition to the already stellar bands which were put on the billing with the first two waves of announcements (read more about those right here), all those who plan on visiting the festival this year will be treated to performances of Japanese jazz/math rock genuises Mouse on the Keys, Danish blackgaze upstarts møl, and UK sludge metal legends OHHMS, for example.
See the rest of the newly-added bands and artists, along with the festival’s updated promotional poster, after the jump.
For your (and my) convenience, I’ll just list off the remaining acts here while commentig on some of them afterwards, okay? Okay. Here we go:
Plini, Tides of Man, Poly-Math, Jean Jean, Pjin, Conjurer, Blueneck, Boss Keloid, Orchards, Halo Tora, Bad Sign, Natalie Evans, Death and the Penguin, Coldbones, Black Future, Seven Colour Drive, Codices, Only Echoes Remain
In combination with the earlier announcements, this is a ridiculously amazing festival line-up right there! Obvious highlights from this wave are the mighty newcomers Conjurer (who will also be playing a collaborative set with Pjin if I interpret the festival’s Facebook post correctly), OHHMS, møl, Natalie Evans (whose acoustic, math rock-informed folk is absolutely stunning to behold), Mouse on the Keys, and of course Plini; that doesn’t take away from the overall quality of the other bands, though. Make no mistake: this is not a billing which you’ll want to miss out on!
Remaining tickets can be purchased here. Act fast, they’ll be gone fast! Make sure to follow ArcTanGent on Facebook for more information and future updates. Will you be st the festival this year? Let us know in the comments!
