Alright, now that we got that out of the way, let’s see what the fine folks at the ArcTanGent staff have cooked up for us with this new wave of announcements, eh? There was a lot going on in the festival’s line-up as is, but they just keep on getting more and more exciting acts on the bill for this year’s edition. As you can see in the headline, another 15 bands were added this time around, and among those are some absolute heavyweights of the scene.
Take Anathema, for example. The gothic metal-gone-proggy alt-rock group has become one of the most notoriously beautiful and tear jerking bands around today, and they are sure to bring waves upon waves of goosebumps to the lucky attendants. Or maybe Leprous are more to your liking? This fiercely inventive five-piece have surprised many with their more rock-oriented record Malina last year, so their show is poised to be a veritable highlight. And even if these two aren’t enough to make you salivate in anticipation, there are even more acts for you to discover after the jump!
What a line-up!
Polish post-rock institution Tides From Nebula will be bringing their instrumental mastery to the festival’s stage, whereas Part Chimp are sure to get the crowd moving with their take on sludge metal and noise rock. The other bands announced in this wave are as follows: Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs (interesting name by the way, lads!), Strobes, Astralia, Hey Colossus, Space Blood, Trigger Thumb, La Jungle, Toska, The Guru Guru, Mugstar, and The Big Massive Orchestra.
Thanks to this once again massive announcement, the final line-up for ArcTanGent 2018 looks as follows (no way am I typing that out, just look at the official poster):
Tickets are still available here! Be quick though; once they’re gone, they’re gone, and you really don’t want to miss out on this ridiculously stacked bill! Make sure to follow the festival’s official Facebook page for more information.
