NEWS: Brutal Assault Announces Black Metal Band Wave

Have you seen the big names announced for Brutal Assault 2018 already? Maybe you recognized that there’s a lot of death metal on the festival’s line-up so far, and maybe you are more of a fan of darker music, like black metal for example. That’s cool, and Brutal Assault just announced some new names that might be interesting for you! Overall, the event provides a high variety of acts, ranging from doom, black and death metal to prog, metalcore, hardcore, and even some outliers. This is the fifth wave of bands announced for the festival; if you want to smash on the previous click the following: (first wave), (second wave), (third wave), (fourth wave).

Enough with the chitchat, let’s get down to the facts, starting with probably the biggest name in this announcement: the black metal veterans in Marduk, who will be performing some darkened tunes for you. Straight from the swiss mountains, the duo Bölzer will be at Brutal Assault as well, just like Emperor founding member Håvard Ellefsen’s band Mortiis, and the Austrian heavy-hitters in Belphegor. Also announced are Wrathprayer from South America, Malokarpatan, who combine their music with Eastern European folklore, Arkhon Infaustus from France, and Ireland’s own Cruachan.
