NEWS: Mammal Hands Announce European Tour

Interested in catching some high-quality jazzy tunes this spring? That’s awesome, because Mammal Hands announced that they are going to play some shows in Europe! With that being said: if you are not familiar with the Norwich-based trio, you can check out our Weekly Featured Artist article about them.

After releasing their sophomore record Floa in 2016, the band gained a good reputation in the jazz scene and beyond, and put out their newest record Shadow Work on Gondwana Records last year. Fans of GoGo Penguin, Portico Quartet, and Sons Of Kernet will love the music Mammal Hands are playing, according to our writer David Rodriguez. As he stated on Shadow Work in his review:

[…] Shadow Work is best when it’s influencing your other senses. To expand on that more, and perhaps be a little cliché about it, this album is all about the experience. It engages you – grips you – with its velvety saxophone leads, elegant piano and dynamic percussion. For me, the grip releases too soon after, but that doesn’t mean the moment wasn’t enjoyable on its own. It’s like seeing an old friend for a couple hours only to have the bittersweet sting of separation hit you when the moment is gone.

You can read the full review here! Take a listen for yourself and see if you’re into the music Mammal Hands are creating. The tour features selected solo dates, as well as jazz festivals in Germany, France, Greece, The Netherlands, UK, Ireland and the Czech Republic.
