Fresh off the heels of their newest album Urn (which came out on Friday – you can find our review and podcast about it by clicking the links), extreme progressive metal outfit Ne Obliviscaris have announced the Australian leg of their tour in support of said release. Accompanying them will be their countrymen in djent four-piece Circles (except for the New Zealand portion of dates), who will be short of frontman Perry Kakridas, who parted ways with them back in late August.
Before I ramble on too much about the background informations, here’s what you all really came for – the tour dates! You can find those below.
February 9 – Adelaide (AUS) – Fowler’s Live
February 10 – Melbourne (AUS) – Max Watt’s
February 14 – Canberra (AUS) – The Basement
February 15 – Newcastle (AUS) – The Cambridge Hotel
February 16 – Sydney (AUS) – Manning Bar
February 17 – Brisbane (AUS) – The Triffid
February 21 – Auckland (NZ) – Kings Arms
February 22 – Wellington (NZ) – Valhalla
February 24 – Perth (AUS) – Jack Rabbit Slims’s
You can find tickets for all those dates here! Act fast if you want to see the guys in Ne Obliviscaris and Circles play on their home soil! Out of my own experience, having seen them perform at last year’s Euroblast Festival, NeO are not a band you should risk to miss. They put on an amazing show, and I’d wager that the new songs off Urn will translate very nicely into their tight and engaging performance.
