NEWS: Oceans of Slumber Show Off Video For New Song “No Color, No Light”

With Valentine’s Day in full effect, Texas progressive metal band Oceans of Slumber decided to throw their hat into the ring with their new video for “No Color, No Light”, which comes from their upcoming album The Banished Heart. I don’t know if there’s a more perfect combo! Peep the video right here:

The animated video really enhances this moody, doomy track. I’ve always loved Cammie Gilbert’s voice and felt she’s more than capable of carrying songs on her own, but here she’s complemented very well in a duet with Tom S. Englund from Evergrey. The two have a lovely, heart-wrenching dynamic. Oceans of Slumber seem poised to offer up a hearty (sorry!) slab of emotion with The Banished Heart. Their other two singles released so far have had similar tones and moods, but “No Color, No Light” doubles down on somberness. It’s lovely and affecting.

Find Oceans of Slumber on FacebookTwitter, Instagram and Bandcamp. March 2 is the big day for The Banished Heart, and you can pre-order it here.
