The Album

Protest The Hero aimed for a more progressive and more metallic sound than on their debut (2005’s Kezia) when they made Fortress. A critical and commercial success, Fortress peaked at a #1 position during its two weeks on the Canadian Recording Industry Association (CRIA) charts in 2008 (it debuted on the US Billboard charts at #95). Many bands have taken to anniversary tours of landmark albums in their careers as a means to keep active between tours in support of major releases. Nonetheless, this tour gives an opportunity for fans to celebrate an important work in the annals of progressive metal.
