NEWS: Texas in July Announce Farewell Tour

If you missed it in April, Pennsylvanian metalcore act Texas in July sadly announced they were calling it quits. Their drummer Adam Gray posted the following farewell at the time:

“I’ve had the best times of my life during the last eight years with this band. From years of playing for little to no audience – to stages and massive crowds all over the world I thought I would never experience. I’ve met some of the coolest people and am so thankful for all of the friendships I’ve made. It’s time to really dedicate my time to improving at my instrument and getting back to the drawing board. Thank you to all my fans and friends who have supported me and will continue to support me through whatever is next. I hope you see you all one last time on our European farewell tour. Thank you!”

After their European farewell tour with Walking With Strangers and Chelsea Grin this May, they of course teased of a North American farewell, and today they announced that tour!

They’ll be hitting 22 dates across the U.S.A. and select dates in Canada this November and early December, bringing along with them ReflectionsTo the Wind, and Invent, Animate. They stated they’ll be playing songs from their entire discography, including some they haven’t played in years. Tickets, including VIP options go on sale this Friday (Aug 21st).

The band who’s been around since 2007 puts on a very tight, high energy show that can engage even the casual fan. Their now final album Bloodwork was released in 2014 on Equal Vision Records. Reflections who join them will be touring in support of their upcoming album The Color Clear which was announced this week. It’s always sad to see bands call it quits, and we encourage you to hit up one of these dates if it’s coming near you to bid them a strong farewell!

Really sucks after releasing such a killing album. Can’t wait to see them one last time though. I’ve lost count how many of their shows I’ve been to. They always kill it. Great dudes too
