Fan of modern rock music and early post hardcore? Then for sure you’ll be familiar with 1998 founded band Thrice. The band came back in 2016 with a record called To Be Everywhere Is To Be Nowhere and are about to drop a follow-up very soon. As the band announced they just signed a deal with Epitaph stating the following:
“We grew up listening to and being inspired by Epitaph bands, and have always admired and respected the label’s independent spirit and ethics. To finally be a part of the family there is an absolute honor, and we couldn’t be more excited about our future with them.”
“The Grey” comes with a very minimalistic lyric video and is a very catchy, yet slow-paced song somewhere in between melodic hardcore and slightly progressive rock music. Especially its chorus is one to remember. All of it comes in a very raw and Thrice-typical sound that fans of the band surely will enjoy! Said song and statement together with the signing to Epitaph sounds like Thrice would come up with a new record very soon. Hence we don’t have more information we can only speculate. But there’s a tour coming up with The Bronx and Teenage Wrist this fall!
The tour dates are the following:
